Phani Radhakrishnan is an Associate Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources in the Department of Management at the University of Toronto Scarborough. She exemplifies what it means to be a global educator through promoting diverse perspectives and inclusive learning embedded in her innovative pedagogy for over 20 years at the University of Toronto.
Phani has made an incredible impact to engage students in global learning opportunities and her research has made a lasting impact on the global academic community with over 25 publications in top-tier, peer-reviewed journals and 80 presentations at conferences. Her work is published in top-tier journals such as the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, The Academy of Management Journal, The Journal of Applied Psychology and Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin. Her research on racial harassment was funded by the US National Institutes of Mental Health. She presented her research to the Senate of Canada for amending Bill C65.
Phani’s ongoing practice of engaging students in localized learning and weaving interactional diversity and inclusivity in her course design and delivery has a tremendous impact on future scholars in Management and is well deserving of the 2024 U of T Global Educator Award.
